Reviewers love that this sugar alternative doesn’t have any off-putting tastes, so they can use it just as they would regular sugar. Stevia in the Raw is made with 100% natural Stevia, so you can be sure it’s made without any harsh chemicals or fillers. We know that eating healthy seem like a huge added expense, but it really doesn’t have to be, especially when you’re making small but effective swaps. If you’re on a budget, we recommend No Calorie Sweetener from Great Value. It’s made with aspartame (think Sweet’N Low) but sells for a fraction of the cost.

  2. Thank you for taking the time to post in my blog. I agree that when choosing a sugar people needs to be sure that doesn’t have any chemical or fillers. Its also important to be on the budget but I respectfully disagree with the last statement. No only “No calorie Sweetener”, aspartame or (Sweet’N low) are cheaper choices but also very dangerous to your health. Since its approval in the 1980’s it has accounted for over 75% of the adverse reactions to food additives, many of this allergy reactions are headache, migraines, dizziness and even seizures. In addition to that aspartame has triggered or worsened brain tumors, Parkinson disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer and epilepsy among other. The list of side effects are long and scary. So my recommendation is to avoid aspartame.

Natural sugar alternatives—such as honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, and molasses— are smart swaps for typical white table sugar. Despite containing a bit more naturally-occurring sugar than their artificial counterparts, these inherently sweet products may even boost your health. Natural sugar substitutes—such as stevia and monk fruit extract—and some sugar alcohols are also good options to sweeten your favorite recipes. Here, our nutritionist cuts through the confusion to help you choose the best sugar alternative for your individual needs.
